Important Changes to Federal Benefit Payments
The U.S. Department of the Treasury will now pay all Federal Benefits electronically.
- If you applied or will be applying for benefits after May 1, 2011, you will receive benefit payments electronically from the start.
- If you are already receiving paper checks, you need to make the switch to electronic by March 1, 2013.

- Checking or Savings Account Number
- 12-Digit Federal Benefit Check Number
- Amount of Benefit Check
