Want some help with your post-harvest marketing decisions?

If so, First National Bank in Creston and Afton along with Gavilon Grain and Union County Farm Bureau will be sponsoring an informative education program “Launch and Land Your Post-Harvest Marketing Plan: Winning the Game” at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18 in room 180 at Southwestern Community College in Creston.

“We all listen to the marketing gurus that predict where prices might go,” said Steve Crittenden,Steve Crittenden mug senior vice president at First National Bank. “But, we wanted to help our ag customers learn how to develop a plan to give them guidance to make good marketing decisions for their crops. This program will give us scenarios that I think we can all relate to.”

The workshop, delivered by Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, will examine six different marketing plans. The program allows participants to learn about marketing techniques including seasonal price patterns, carrying charges and the risk of holding unpriced grain in storage.

Space is limited for this program. You can register today at http://bit.ly/2BWruij or call Crittenden or Sarah Wilson with First National Bank at 641-782-2195.
